The Simple Framework to Create Consistent Results for Your Clients

When we work with clients our ultimate goal is to create a significant, positive impact on their life and just about every coach out there wants to do this as quickly as possible.

It’s the reason why we love when clients experience rapid transformations and radical shifts.

You’ve experienced it before…

Think of a time when your client had an amazing “a-ha” moment because you asked just right question at just the right time.

Wasn’t it awesome? You felt thrilled. Motivated. Fulfilled.

The problem with this approach? There’s a chance you might get “hooked” on these bright shiny moments in your coaching sessions.

While they’re great milestones for your client and great achievements for you, truly great coaching can be traced back to something far less exciting. Something you may think of as the “unsexy” element of coaching…

When you compare accountability to instant breakthroughs and fast changes, it’s like comparing a piece of glass to a sparkling gemstone – glass is boring. Mundane. Easy to miss.

But no matter what your personal opinion may be, accountability must be at the heart of your work if you want to create impactful and consistent results.

As you’ve seen with clients and in your own life, making a declaration to achieve your dreams is easy. Sticking to the daily routines, habits and changes that will get you there is extraordinarily hard.

That’s where accountability comes in.

If you’re not doing it already, now’s the time to focus on maximizing accountability in your client work.

The first step is to give your clients clarity.

Help them understand what their smaller commitments and tasks are, how these are related to their bigger goals and why they need to do what they said they’re going to do.

Tell them what’s at stake – goals and desires. Big dreams. A fulfilling life.

Accountability also includes creating a specific plan and action steps that your clients can take to stay on track.

Then let them know that you’ll be checking in on whether or not they did the things they said they would do.

Top coaches know that the true essence and power of great coaching has very little to do with quick fixes or rapid breakthroughs...

Truly transformational coaching is all about the slow burn – that gradual, consistent progress that leads to changes that last.

And this is what accountability brings to the game.

When you become your client’s accountability partner and you hold them responsible for the tasks, behaviors, beliefs and changes they need to make to achieve their goals, something awesome happens…

You’ll create real, lasting transformations that lead to elevated levels of success, joy and fulfillment for your clients.
