Ready to make a 6-figure income as a new coach?

In this video, Ajit teaches 3 important steps you need to take to reach that goal – and surpass it! – even if you’re a brand new coach.

Let’s jump right in!

Step 1: Define Who You Serve

How to build a 6 figure income as a new coach

This is a basic and foundational step in building your dream 6-figure income as a new coach.

Try to understand your product-market mix

The product-market mix helps you determine whether the product or service you are offering at the time is relevant to your audience. And also to their current reality.

Although this is a really simple step, a lot of coaches (in any niche) tend to overlook it.

The key to creating something of value is to make it specific enough to address a really unique problem that your target audience is facing. Something that will make them want your service immediately.

For example, instead of saying “I am a business coach”, try and include who you serve. And say, “I am a business coach for small and medium-sized enterprises.”

Much more aligned to your target audience, right?

So ask yourself,

  • What is the product that you offer?
  • What kind of clients are you most excited about?
  • What kind of clients do you want to work with?
  • What kind of clients will you get the most impact with?

Once you have identified who you want to serve, you will get an idea of how you want to create the impact. This step is all about gaining clarity about what you offer, who you work with, and how.

Step 2: Understand How To Create Visibility

There are different ways that you can gain visibility, and get clients, in order to make it to a 6-figure income.

This is why you must understand the preferred choice for your business and narrow down your focus on the same.

Here are two strategies you can use:

  • Offline Outreach: Find relevant platforms or forums where you can find your ideal clients, like a dinner, or a conference, or personal outreach initiatives.
  • Online Outreach: Online is the greatest neutralizer! So, create online content that can be distributed through relevant channels, and engage people who want to work with you.

Identifying your preferred strategy for outreach and visibility will help you fasten the process of reaching your desired 6-figure income.

Step 3: Understanding Your Financial Planning

A lot of coaches can overcomplicate this simple step. In the pursuit of creating a 6-figure income, you may feel overwhelmed by the number of things you think you need to do

You may be thinking…

“Oh, I need to write a course, host an event, pen down a book, and do all sorts of other things that everyone around seems to be doing!”

But it’s important, before you start with any of those, to begin from a place of ease and simplicity.

When you are just starting out, it’s necessary that you focus on one-to-one coaching sessions or group coaching programs.

Why?

These spaces allow you to not only hone your coaching skills by offering your services up close but also invite your desired 6 figure income while working with a relatively small number of clients.

Remember: it’s easier to attract 10 or 20 or 30 clients for your coaching sessions than thousands of readers for a book you’ve just launched.

In your pursuit of a 6-figure income, do not forget that the thing you are really doing is adding value to your clients’ lives.

Coaching is a beautiful profession and as a coach, your biggest responsibility is in serving your clients right!

A 6 figure income is always the result of doing the right thing, that is, to serve with love.
